| Name | Official Runic Common Runic |
Runic script is an ancient alphabetic script used primarily by the Germanic peoples of Europe. Dating back to around 150 AD, it's primarily associated with Old Norse, Old English, and other old Germanic languages. Today, it's supported on computers via Unicode encoding. The exact origins and authors remain uncertain, though it's believed to have evolved from Old Italic scripts or the Latin alphabet.
