Meroitic Hieroglyphs are an ancient script originating from the Meroitic period of the Kingdom of Kush in present-day Sudan. Primarily used to write the Meroitic language, it's distinct from Egyptian hieroglyphs though influenced by them. Modern computer support remains limited, but Unicode support and specialized software and typefaces exist. The exact origin and author remain unknown.
