ISO 15924 script code: Mend

Mende Kikakui is a script primarily used to write the Mende language of Sierra Leone. Originating from indigenous signs, it was systematized in the late 19th century by Mohammed Turay, a Mende leader. Although less common today, the script has seen a revival among Mende speakers. Modern computer support is limited but has been growing with inclusion in Unicode.
