Khutsuri script, with its components Asomtavruli and Nuskhuri, is integral to Georgian historical texts and religious manuscripts. It has been predominantly used by Georgian cultures and the Georgian Orthodox Church since its inception, around the 5th century AD. It’s implemented and supported in modern technology through the Unicode Standard. The creation of the script is traditionally ascribed to Saint Mesrop Mashtots, although concrete evidence is lacking.
