Vithkuqi script, sometimes called Büthakukye, is an alphabetic writing system invented in the early 19th century by Naum Veqilharxhi for the Albanian language. Predominantly used by Albanians, it sought to replace Arabic and Greek alphabets in Albanian writing. Though largely historical, some enthusiasts and scholars still study and use it. On computers, it can be used through Unicode.
