Ugaritic script is an ancient writing system developed around 1400 BCE in the city of Ugarit, present-day Syria. Predominantly used for the Ugaritic language, it greatly influenced subsequent alphabets. On computers, it can be used through Unicode. The original author or inventor remains unknown.
