Linear B is an ancient script used around 1450-1200 BCE, primarily in Crete and mainland Greece. It was employed by the Mycenaean civilization to write an early form of Greek. Although deciphered by Michael Ventris in 1952, it predates the Greek alphabet by several centuries. Modern support is limited, but specialized software and fonts do exist.
