The Palmyrene script is an ancient alphabetical writing system originating from the city of Palmyra in present-day Syria. Primarily used between the 1st and 3rd centuries CE, it was employed to write the Palmyrene language and occasionally Aramaic. Today, computer support for Palmyrene can be found in Unicode. While the exact authorship remains uncertain, it evolved from the Aramaic script.
