Sindhi belongs to the Indo-European language family, more specifically to the Indo-Aryan subgroup. It is primarily used in the Sindh province of Pakistan and by the Sindhi community in various regions of India, including Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. It is written using the Perso-Arabic (adapted from Naskh) and Devanagari scripts. It is estimated that there are around 32 million speakers worldwide.
