Afaka script, developed by Afáka Atumisi in the early 20th century, is a unique writing system used primarily for the Ndyuka language, a creole language spoken in Suriname. Though not widely supported on mainstream computers and operating systems, it can be found in specialized linguistic software and Unicode since 2008. Primarily utilized by the Ndyuka people, its distinctive syllabary has become a significant cultural marker.
